King of Prussia Business Improvement District (KOP-BID), in association with Rolling Barrel Events (and a few other generous sponsors), have gone above and beyond their brew driven duties to bring this area a beer festival like it’s never seen before. Based off a strong German influence, these two groups are proud to present the First Annual King of Prussia Beerfest Royale. It’s expected to be the largest Oktoberfest-themed outdoor beer festival in the Greater Philadelphia suburbs – showcasing the finest local craft beers side-by-side with their German counterparts. Can you afford to miss that?
Beerfest Royale will be held outdoors at the King of Prussia Mall, along the DeKalb Pike Parking Lot on Friday, October 5th (Friday Preview Party) and Saturday, October 6th (Two General Sessions). Join both days for an epic weekend of live music, a central plaza (sponsored by the Valley Forge Convention & Visitors Bureau) with amazing food, unique vendors, and a variety of local craft and German beers. Big time favorites like Victory, BoxCar Brewing Company, Sly Fox, Dock Street Beer, Troegs, Yards, Rock Bottom, Dog Fish Head, Weyerbacher, Lancaster Brewing Company and Great Lakes have already signed on board. That’s just the local stuff! There are still German goodies like Beck’s, St. Pauli’s Girl, Spaten and more!
It’s likely to be the most beers you’ll ever taste under two tents – from your favorite Oktoberfest styles to the newest and hottest seasonal releases. Beer lovers near and far will want to attend Beerfest Royale because it’s certainly not your standard festival.
For starters, the Friday Preview Party from 5:30 to 9 p.m., offers an intimate, upscale experience. Not what you’re used to for a beer festival, right? Don’t fear the change. It’s a good one, including several “sneak peek” beers along with exclusive offerings, butlered hors d’oeuvres, multiple food and dessert stations paired with beer, special guests, VIP giveaways, live music and much more. Cocktail attire is highly encouraged. Tickets for the Friday Night Preview Party are $85 per person and are on sale now. Purchases of six tickets or more will qualify for the “six-pack discount,” taking $5 off each ticket.
The two Saturday General Admission sessions (12:30-4 p.m. and 5-8:30 p.m.) offer a more casual, festival atmosphere and are currently on sale for only $45 per person. Again, purchases of six tickets or more will qualify for the “six-pack discount.” All attendees will receive a KOP Beerfest Royale tasting glass for unlimited beer samples during their session.
The festival organizers are expecting more than 3,500 people throughout the two day festival span. There are plenty of hotel options, a brand new casino nearby, restaurant destinations and other attractions in the area that could make a truly spectacular getaway weekend for the craft beer loving crew or couple. KOP-BID also looks forward to welcoming a large group of locals and loves to see the support from so many so early in the game. Be sure to get your ticket while supplies last and while a special promo runs!
